What are accommodations?
Changes to the educational environment that allows students with disabilities to overcome barriers created by there disability.

Classroom Accommodations
Ensure students have access to the general education curriculum as well as understanding what is being taught.
Classroom Accommodations

Classroom Accommodations
Adult directed support
- The student requires an adult (can be a different adult) to be with them throughout the school day to keep student in their area (during times such as PE, Art, Music, Library)

Break into manageable parts
- In order for the student to complete his work, the student needs it broken up in small pieces.

Frequent Breaks
- Due to the students level of energy and frustration with completing the work, he requires a break. These can be self-regulated breaks or teacher prompts

Proximity
- In any classroom setting the student must be near an adult to complete work.
Or
- In any classroom setting the student must be near the board in order to see and complete work.

- Due to lack of focus the student requires multiple redirections to get back on task.

- Due to lack of focus, the student requires repetition of instruction/directions
